Applied’s Positive Impact Report 22|23
Our first annual Impact Report provides insight into our approach and the positive outcomes of our work

As part of the process for applying for B Corp certification, the Applied team has prepared and published a Positive Impact Report for 22|23. This will be an annual commitment which will detail our ongoing progress in creating a positive impact on people and the planet.

Produced to be informative and purposeful, the Impact Report serves as a tool to communicate our measurable impact and how this will grow in the future. It utilises the B Corp structure as a framework; capturing the positive contributions we’ve made as individuals, teams and as a business across five areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

The Applied head office in London is supported by 71% renewable energy sources.

The Impact Report for 22|23 also includes some of the positive outcomes of Applied’s projects. From detailing statistical evidence to how our work has improved public transport networks, to providing survey results on how our projects have got more people walking. As well as illustrating some of the design tools we’ve developed to increase accessibility for underserved groups. These are just a few of the ways in which the report showcases our existing beneficial impact.

And in terms of looking ahead? We also set out our future commitments – for both the short and long term. This sets out achievable goals that will be reviewed, updated and reported on each year. For example, as part of our commitment to driving positive change in the local community, each of our employees will soon be allocated a paid day off to volunteer with a charity of their choice.

By publishing this Impact Report we are embracing transparency and accountability, and hope to encourage open conversations between our stakeholders, as well as our wider audiences.
